Meet your Mississippi AND Louisiana Director!

Sara is a former cosmetologist turned college professor with years of experience in pageantry and the beauty industry. She is the proud mother of Baxter (20) and Izzy (19). She was a member of the Mississippi Governor's Human Capital Task Force and the Mississippi State Superintendent of Education's Principal Advisory Committee. She is passionate about bringing awareness to shelter pets and spends much of her free time volunteering for animal shelters in her area. 

She is also the owner and artist behind Sara's Glow Getters (@sarasglowgetters on Facebook and Instagram) a traveling spray tan business specializing in tans for pageantry. She is Norvell certified and was named one of the Top 10 Spray Tan Artists of the Year by Norvell Tanning. Sara has given winning tans to many state and national winners including Miss Elementary America 4th grade 2023, Mia Simpkins, Miss Jr High School America 2023, Aryanna Hopkins, Miss Jr. High School America 2024, Charley Martin, Miss Teen USA 2024, Addie Carver, and Miss Teen Volunteer America 2026, Izzy Karns! Sara is no stranger to the Miss High School America organization and is thrilled to be returning for a second year as the Executive Director for the Miss Mississippi and Miss Louisiana High School America Pageants!
